SCREW YOU is contrary to public morality

On July 6, 2006, the OHIM Board of Appeals, upholds the Examiners decision as to the refusal of the mark SCREW YOU in classes 9, 10, 28 and 33.

The Board took the view that SCREW YOU felt within the domain of vulgarity, insult and profanity and would inevitably cause a significant section of the general public to be upset and affronted except in respect of artificial breasts, breasts pumps provided such products are re-worded so as to cover only those of a type which is normally sold exclusively in sex shops.
